David George Thompson, 66, of Campton, died September 4, 2018 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Littleton, NH. on May 3, 1952, he was the son of Lawrence Grant and Patricia Eleanor (Reister) Thompson.
David was a life-long resident of the Thornton and Campton area. He graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1970.
David worked for Bremco Inc. of New Hampshire, as a certified Welder and boiler maker for many years.
He also was a carpenter and a sawyer for several different mills in the area, including his own.
David was a US Marine Corps veteran.
David was a member of the NH Trapper Association, the American Legion Post 83, in Lincoln, and was a member, for a short time, of the Campton Thornton Fire Department.
David had a love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping. He also enjoyed making Stain Glass products.
David is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Mary Anne (Wickberg) Thompson, of Campton, his brother, Roger L. Thompson of Groton, and his nephew Roger L. Thompson, Jr. of Plymouth, NH.
A graveside service will be held in the Blair Cemetery, Campton, on Wednesday, Sept 12th, at 11am. The Rev. Margaret Bickford, pastor of the Wentworth Congregational Church, will officiate.
